For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a deep connection to nature and the outdoors. Growing up in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes region of New York, I developed a strong appreciation for the plants, trees, mushrooms, and wildlife that call this area home. Over time, that curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for learning about the natural world.
After graduating high school in 2008, I began working as a nurse’s aide, a role I held for five years. During that time, I spent many hours researching the pharmaceutical industry and came to realize that it wasn’t the path I wanted to take in helping others. This realization led me to explore plant medicine more deeply, and I quickly found myself immersed in the world of herbalism.
That passion eventually guided me to a truly special place—Healing Spirits Herb Farm—where I was fortunate to work in a role I genuinely loved. My experience there included seed starting, transplanting, harvesting, wild foraging, root digging, drying and processing herbs, and fulfilling orders. It was an incredibly formative chapter in my journey.
In 2020, I transitioned from Healing Spirits to fully dedicate my time as co-owner and founder of Komorebi in Naples, NY. Through this venture, I cultivated and sold medicinal herbs and herbal products, and also crafted kombucha.
Two years later, I followed a new calling and launched my own business, Desire-Herbal. My mission is to help others reconnect with the earth and rediscover the benefits of living in harmony with nature. I grow and forage medicinal herbs, which I use to create thoughtfully crafted tisanes (herbal tea blends) and natural body care products.
In 2023, I opened my shop, Naples Herbs & Art—a space that reflects both my passion and my community. Here, you’ll find a wide selection of organic medicinal herbs available by the ounce, my handcrafted herbal tisanes and body care products, as well as locally made artwork, pottery, baskets, candles, new and gently used clothing, and more.
It has been an incredible journey so far, and I’m excited to see where it continues to lead.
